Eclectic at heart and passionate by nature, Germany “Snap” Aulor is an entrepreneur, model, multi-disciplinary artist with an unmatched love for all things music, art and self expression. Snap is way more than the typical girl from Newark. Having studied film, photography, media, art direction, music production and engineering she is a multifaceted creative force. After blossoming from a Full Sail Recording Arts Graduate into positions such as Studio Manager at Brooklyn’s Dungeon Beach Studios, Assistant Engineer at Converse Rubber Tracks and Assistant Engineer at Brooklyn’s newest most promising venue Baby’s All Right, Snap decided the most fulfilling space in the music scene was with the people, in the middle of it all. And with that, she decided to hone in on one of her many freelance talents, forging a her path as a DJ. Her boundless music selection and girl power approach to artist inclusion has led to features on blogs including GrungeCake, BitchMedia, and Huffpost Beauty. She’s even making a name for herself before the lens, branching out as a muse and model. Snap’s also DJ’d in lineups along side artists such as Uniiqu3 and Princess Nokia.
As a creative, she’s surpassed expectations before knowing they exist. Having a background in broadcasting and communications gave her the foundation to understand editing and design, leading her to work as a self-taught freelancer doing creative direction, visual and graphic work for friends. In 2019, upon recommendation, Germany attended D&AD’s New Blood Shift program, spearheaded by CEO turned Chairman Tim Lindsay. Toward the end of the program, She was scouted by Wieden+Kennedy New York, to become a resident. New to the ad world and excited to have a new opportunity blossom creatively in a field other than music she embarked on the journey. At the program’s end, she was recruited by Droga5 as an Art Director, and shortly after, she’d become part of her first campaign for Equinox.
Germany has also ventured into women’s events. She hosts a floral based, women’s only event called Bloom in the spring and summer and continues to organize Black Girl Beach Day every August since 2017. This budding creative hopes her goal to take up space, and stay creative sparks a worldwide movement inspiring droves of women from all walks of life.
